Watch him dance in the sunlight! No batteries – just power from the sun.
Crazy Cricket vibrates madly in sunlight making a realistic chirruping sound and waggling his feelers in a hilariously wild dance.
Sure to raise a smile.

  • No assembly is required
  • A simple but effective demonstration of solar power!
  • Will also work when close to a strong artificial light source.
  • Not suitable for under 3s due to small parts.

The Technical bit:-
The Crazy Cricket uses a photovoltaic solar cell to generate electricity from sunshine.  This electricity drives a miniature motor that causes the Cricket to vibrate and 'dance' in the sun.

The solar cell used in the Crazy Cricket is a small version of the solar panels used on space satellites and space stations.  Big arrays of solar panels are also used on earth to generate electricity to power homes, businesses and factories.  Photovoltaic (PV) solar power is a form of renewable energy.
