In our experience it is best to steer clear of batteries that are cheaper and lighter, as they tend to lose their charge quicker and do not last as long.

There are 3 types of Battery;

1 - Lead acid batteries have been around a lot longer and have caps so you have to unscrew them to top up using de-ionised water.

2 - An AGM battery is completely sealed and maintenance free while generally giving you more recharging cycles which means it will last longer.

3 - GEL batteries are completely sealed and maintenance free, this means you do not have to top up and is ideal for all leisure vehicles.

4 - Lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) is the safest of the mainstream li-ion battery types. The round-trip energy efficiency of a LFP battery is 92%.

5 - SBS batteries are designed to cope with raised temperatures, harsh environments and continues to offer unrivalled choice and performance in compact and energy dense configurations.
