On-Grid Solar Panels

High power solar panels ranging from 360W-645W which can be mounted in many different ways to provide power to a grid connected property. On-grid panels typically have a higher voltage at 30-50V compared to off-grid solar panels which would be lower at 20V being more suited for battery charging. This is to have a higher voltage being close to grid voltage at 230-240V to have a more efficient conversion from DC to AC electricity.

All of these panels are on the MCS register and have relevant documents available.

It is possible and sometimes recommended to use these high power panels in off-grid applications when lots of power is required. This can be achieved by using a suitable MPPT charge controller which can handle the higher voltage and transform it into a 12/24/48V battery. This solution has been included in our larger solar power station kits.
